This is known as Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS). If severe weather threatens a portion of the electric system, it may be necessary for Hawaiian Electric to turn off electricity. ”

HECO POWER OUTAGE:
Hawaiian Electric Company is planning a property-wide survey of our utility equipment. The project is a
three-day event and will require some digging, scanning, inspecting and noise. This project will also
require brief power outages per phase of units. Attached is a copy of the HECO list of units that will be
directly affected on each work day. Work is scheduled for March 12, 13 and 15, 2024 requiring a brief
power outage from approximately 8:30am-2:30pm for each day of service. The management office will
be closed during the power outage period.
HECO will be sending notices directly to all units affected by the project as well as an email and voice
robot calls. Please note this is an approved project and Kuapa Isle is aware of the utility survey and
repairs. Please plan ahead for the power outage during your phase of work. Below is the contact from
HECO that will be assisting with all questions regarding this project – Dawn Hirayama. Please contact
Dawn for any questions on this project.
